This program is a seven-week summer program. To participate, an application is filled out with a non-refundable $10.00 application fee and proof of filed income taxes. The program itself is income-based, and there is a required donation.
The Summer Camp day starts at 7 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. Educational and recreational activities are provided to the children. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are included. Children are taken on three field trips a week. Summer programming includes, but is not limited to: swimming, healthy eating classes, art, martial arts, dance, cooking, computers; Homestead police come to talk to children about violence and K-9 units. These services are provided by community members that are subject matter experts in their field.
